What are Cook House Takeaways?

On special weekends throughout the month, we make homemade meals for you to pick up from our studio kitchen.

We call them 'takeaways', but they're a little different to the ones you might get at your regular joint in town.

Ours are handmade fresh on the day (by our very own legendary cook (Sue Foreman), with carefully sourced, local ingredients. And once you get home, you simply put the dishes in the oven and reheat to optimum deliciousness. Some of our customers have told us it's similar to having their own 'private chef'.

Our menus change every time and are inspired from dishes all around the world. We like to keep it interesting.

We operate on a pre-ordering system, where you place your order with us in advance, earlier in the week. This reduces waste and eliminates disappointment!

1. Choose

The takeaway menu is available to view from the Tuesday prior.

You can view what we have on our menu here on our website (above). Be sure to sign up to our newsletter to get the takeaway menus delivered straight to your inbox.

Make your selections. There is no minimum order and you can choose whatever you wish - even if it's just one order of dessert.

2. Pre-order

Place your order with us by Thursday at 9pm. You can order here on the website. Or if you prefer, you can order with us via email or phone.

Payment can be made instantly online, or by cash/card when collecting.

It's very important for you to let us know about any allergies when ordering. Tell us by giving our kitchen a call on 01460 929243.

3. Collect

On your chosen day (Friday or Saturday), your order will be ready for collection from our friendly kitchen.

On Friday, the collection time is between 5pm and 6:30pm. On Saturday, the collection time is between 3pm and 4pm. You can find us at Flaxdrayton Farm, near South Petherton.

Parking is available onsite. We’ll have your bag ready, all you'll need to tell us is the name your booking was made under. If you haven't ordered online, (e.g. via phone or email) we accept card or cash payments in person.

4. Enjoy

In the bag you’ll find our simple heating instructions. Once at home, whack the delicious dishes in the oven (our containers are oven safe) and pour yourself a glass of wine.

Ordered too much? No problem, our dishes can be kept refrigerated for three days after purchase. Some say they're even tastier.
